201S Redwood Hwy, Cave Junction, has been a local thrift store for many years. Ownership and management and name have changed once again and this time, the goal is more than just reselling items at a value price. “IV Reclaimed” is the new name and the new goal is community oriented as the space will be operated by the Illinois Valley Youth Enrichment Association. Net profits from the store will help support its local youth projects.
IVYEA believes in a strong community. In order for a community to be strong, it must work together. IVYEA has partnered with the Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce and will be selling merchandise that was once available at the Visitors Center. We also work with the Illinois Valley Family Coalition, The Illinois Valley Safe House Alliance, The IV Lions Club, Pregnancy Center and others to provide for those in the Valley who need a little help.
IV Reclaimed is accepting donations, cash gifts, volunteer applications and space sharing proposals. IV Reclaimed can be contacted in person and by email at ivyea@cavenet.com.
The Illinois Valley Youth Enrichment Association is a registered 501(c)3, donors will be given a receipt for tax purposes upon request.
IV Reclaimed has a rotating inventory based on donations and seasonal trends.
During the wildfires od September, 2020 many community members pulled together to help each other. IV Reclaimed is acting as a sorting and storage place for clothing and household goods for people who have a need for such items. These itms were given to those who ask at no charge.
